Providence Christian School began operation in the fall of 1978 with eighteen students in Kindergarten through grade 5. Over 40 years later, PCS has grown to the capacity for 250 students spanning Four-Year-Old Kindergarten (4K) through 8th Grade. Although much has changed at PCS over the years, academic excellence and teaching the truth of Jesus Christ has not.
Providence Christian School (PCS) strives to maintain small class sizes with a target size of 22 students or less in Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Our 4K program generally offers two school days (Tuesdays and Thursdays) or three school days (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) per week. PCS utilizes a variety of Christian curricula (including Bob Jones University Press and A Beka). Chapel is held weekly, with separate Chapel periods for grades 4K-3, and grades 4-8. While the PCS seeks to provide a well-rounded educational experience, including academic, athletic, spiritual, and extracurricular opportunities, all programs and offerings are subject to availability and may change from year to year. Enrollment at Providence Christian School does not guarantee the availability of any specific program, course, activity, athletic offering, or service.
PCS emphasizes servant leadership and provides many training opportunities for students. Community outreach events include our annual Veterans Day program, Grandparents and Senior Pals Day. Students are generally given many opportunities to participate in a myriad of ministry projects every year.
Providence Christian School is an interdenominational school, which establishes Christian truth as a guide for life by teaching biblical truth. PCS admits students of any race, color, or national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.
